Mustafa Kamal did tremendous job in Karachi which is accepted by the international comunity. Mahajirs should get rid of Don Iltaf Hussain and give chance to Mustaf Kamal as MQM leader, Mahajirs desperately need someone to solve their problems. They should stop wasting their precious time on 'Telephonic Khutbas' from Edgeware road.

I was just pointing out the atmosphere of terror within the MQM. In the past some quarters tried to push Dr? Aamir Liaquat Hussain as the replacement for the Altaf Hussain, and see where is Dr Aamir Liaquat now a days.
Mustapha Kamal organised one meeting without the permission of Quaid-e-tehreek (aka quaide-e-takhreeb) and straight away he was called to Mill Hill and he had to ask for forgivness from the Mafia leader.
So for the sake of life of Mustapha Kamal aisa soochna bhi nahin :)

No he shouldn't because hes the most aggressive and ill mannered guy who doesnt even know how to converse with general public plus there wouldn't be any difference or anything new in the party then if they would have sucha voilent person as their leader...there should be a better replacement...someone polite,well educated,having no controversial past!

According to my leadership criteria
NO:
1. Because he is too young and emotional for being a leader.
2. Because their are other senior level leadership available in MQm who went through worse situations and sacrificed for MQM in 1990s
3. He just served as a city nazim and he have long way to go to become parliamentarian and to become eligible for leadership of a party.YES:
1. Because he is dedicated and active in MQM
2. Because people of Karachi like him more then any other MQM worker or leader.
3. He have come from very basic workers level and he know problems of workers and also about those worker who are capable for the future leadership.In the end it is MQM who should decide their leaders and MQM supporters can help but its their job....

MemberI am not surprised to read the above posts but am really sad to see that how our people worship their so called leaders. Don't we believe that everyone is to certainly die one day. So if the MQM workers are true in their public serving and to be fair claims then they should not worry as their party will go on even after Altaf is not there on scene. But if they have no option other than Altaf Hussein then they should not feel sad if MQM gets into pieces.
My dear friends ... our loyalty is with our country and in fact it is our first duty to scrutinize everyone who claims to be our leader. Instead of defending one's strong and week points we should check it ourselves that the person whom we are choosing is really worth to be our ideal. This must be decided with honesty to our country and Allah.

I never saw something like that even in wall choking in Karachi it was always all Altaf Hussain not even Farooq Sattar, Baber ghouri or even haider abbas Rizvi...
news flash for all of you is that MQm has announced to gift Mustafa Kamal a house and QAltaf Hussain has also given his word as well....Mustafa Kamal was living in Gulshan-e-Iqbal in a rented house....now imagine that a mayor of megapolitan city dont even own a house and was living in a rented place....

Yes in the long run, but it will take time.
right now, Altaf Hussain is the party organizer, and he is the initiator of the movement and the workers always want his mature guidance. Altaf has never been MNA/MPA, all he does is keep discipline and unity in the party which is not a bad thing.

With this his role is only that of a mentor which will slowly die out.
MQM is pratically run by its rabita commitee, I think they just need to make it more clear and outspoken.

I think MK destroyed his home in Karachi because of land which was made over barsati nala and he is just trying to take revenge by satisfying his ego with bunch of PTI fans who already hate MK because of jealousy that MQM brought someone from middle class who is enough to compare with GREAT Imran Khan while they cant even brought a single competent person in PTI except Imran Khan.....Only for them....
