  1. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

    @shriq: Because some people only want to engage in;

    (a) mud-slinging
    (b) leg pulling
    (c) bashing others

    Perhaps;

    (a) they think if they don't do that, others might make more progress than them, which means they are under the fear that their lives would lag far behind others ?

    (b) these people are paid to do it. I mean they are paid to conduct word brawls, to misguide others ?

    (c) they are on this forum to waste everyone's time ?

    (d) they don't want anyone to have;

    (i) peace
    (ii) peace of mind
    (iii) tranquility
    (iv) etc etc

    ?

    (e) since they don't do any productive work themselves, they want others to be as miserable in life as they are themselves ?

    "Being polite is a nice quality that greatly enhances your character positively. On the other hand 'Chaploos, Khoshamidi and daghabaz' use the same quality for their own benifits and gains!"

    Surely, just because someone will do "chaploosi", "Khoshamad" and "Dagha" does not mean that one should be rude. One should be alert to the other people's motives but must not be impolite to others just on the pre-text that other party is using politeness for some bebefits and gains.

    The original quote was:

    “Do not let a rude behaviour of someone to dictate your politeness”

    The above is advocating you to be polite and not to become paranoid about someone else's politeness towards you.

  6. thanks a lot every one for liking this thread .

    but i am really disappointed with the fact that some ppl are again slipped into argument just for the sake of argument while leaving behind the essence of the tread .
    will request all of them, to try to discuss pointers ...

    although ,i must appreciate that most of the members discussed it well and shared their thoughts about the pointers with us .

    @Expakistani ,
    as i have already written ,i am sick and tired of MQM bashing or Jamat and PTI bashing .
    i just wanna discuss something new and refreshing.

    in my opinion this kind of polietness comes if a person has very deep and philosphical understand of human life and rarely it is god gifted in some indviduals.but most of time it used as tool by shrwed or crafty peoples.

  16. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

    @SufiSoul: I can't.

    I thought of a method, an already used method of people in old times. They used to eat between Maghrib and Isha, and as soon as Isha prayers were done, they would go to sleep.

    The problem is, I can't sleep early. I need much practice in sleeping early.

    One can find 8hrs of uninterrupted sleep between Isha and Fajr for most part of the year.

  18. How did China become the world's number one superpower wo fast? Here's how: China's moral code of Eight Honours:

    Love the country; do it no harm
    Serve the people; never betray them
    Follow science; discard superstition
    Be diligent; not indolent
    Be united, help each other; make no gains at other's expense
    Be honest and trustworthy; do not sacrifice ethics for profit
    Be disciplined and law-abiding; not chaotic and lawless
    Live plainly, work hard; do not wallow in luxuries and pleasures.

    We could adopt this without modification to fashion our own attitude towards Pakistan. And the Chinese patriotism code is wholly Islam-compatible.

  19. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

    As you said, there is no need for modification is correct. If they are already found in Islam than it is us Muslims at fault by not acting accordingly.

    Our Prophet (pbuh) said 'To gain knowledge go to China even, if you have to'. Although 'long journey' is the focus but I would say, our Prophet (pbuh) was aware of Chinese advance in various fields of knowledge.

  27. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

    @Mirza Ghalib: I was again miss-understood. I did read AND understandd what you wrote. I did read between the lines. I replied after I did.

    I believe, Islam's ideology is far! more powerful than Chinese.

    Yes, they have the practical examples we can see right now. Muslims have nothing to show for their ideology right now.

    The loyalty to our ideology (Quran-o-Sunnah) matters far more than learning lessons from others, if we are to make progress.

    @choosy: Kyoon nahi ? Seekh sakte hain.

    @Mirza Ghalib: @choosy: Our justice system is the best in this entire Universe. IT! is our powerhouse.

    Chinese have nothing like that. Chinese are working on borrowed ideology.

    We have our own political, social, financial, judicial system.

  31. Much ado about nothing. I thought I could advantageously add the Chinese 8 Honours for the young to the Muslim philosopher Azim Premji's precepts for youthful minds offered by Beenai, and once again found myself caught up in a slanging match. Whatever for?

    Thank you choosy for your classy comments. Thank you Moderator for your wise reminder about the Prophet (PBUH) and China. Brilliant, both of you!

    I'll add as well that China has had a Muslim population for centuries. China's greatest seeman and explorer was Admiral Zheng He, a Muslim. China's Uighur population, which is regularly incited to violence by the CIA, is Muslim. After the Zardari election, the first Pakistanis to visit China officially were leaders of the Jamaat-e-Islami party.

    Had I quoted words by Thomas Paine or then some sneering Britisher or anyone else out of the vicious West, no one would have found anything to complain about. It was China, the world's number one power, which set you off. I feel quite sad to think how backward and divided we still remain in our loyalties.

  41. Youth mind can't be shape untill:-

    I believe the best ever literature, which can reshape not only the young mind but the mind of whole humanity is Quran and the sunnat of Holly Prophet and a Society with Principles of Islam.

    U can see from history whenever such society existed on earth, every mind who comes on earth is always changed mind.

    A literature can't change the mind of youth untill something practical,

    Now i tell u what is practical

    Kids seeing Indian films on TV, That's the literature which they see on TV and democratic system provide them enough space for making practical to date with Girls.

    A system is necessary with literature to reshape mind of Y0ongs.

  42. Indeed, choosy, great minds think alike. On this particular topic you gave me precious support. I am in your debt. And your sense of humour and brevity are appreciated. Not to worry.

    Salam - If you have the marvellous job of being a teacher, never to get discouraged, please. Seems as though one is making no headway at all at times. And then suddenly maturity hits even the most backward student. And you see the results of what you have sown so patiently.

    Psycho - There has been talk of a ban on Indian films recently. We should certainly go ahead with enforcing it. India is in even a worse crisis of identity loss than we are in Pakistan. We should safeguard ourselves.

    Beenai, all together, we'll do our best, both with young minds and older ones. Thanks for giving us a chance.

  45. Sure, all of us taking note, busily. But where is HK? Do you know? I didn't mean to embarrass you. So sorry. But I was sincere. So we'll let the matter close, shall we? But not before I add: a sense of balance, see. That's what emerges from your some-hate-me, some-love-me words above. Just carry on the great job. It's all worth it.

    Posted 1 year ago on 22 Mar 2010 9:32 #

    yah Balance is the key ...

    I hate indian film, They are destroying us

    I only want clear the situation how to reshape the minds of young, In democratic system u can't change the minds, untill the establisment of just society.

    Posted 1 year ago on 22 Mar 2010 10:52 #
  48. There again great minds meet. Indian films are the epitome of vulgarity. We should avoid them like the plague. I don't know what should come first: democracy or a just society. Now look how they've imposed "democracy" on Iraq. So who's to say what's right. Like choosy says above: Pakistan's govt in any case has lost its sense of balance. But this small matter of a ban on Indian films is wholly within the possibilities of even a ghatya government.

  49. @Mirza Ghalib,
    @I don't know what should come first: democracy or a just society.
    u must have heard an old poet versus;

    Dil saaf iss liye nahin kay Insaaf nahin

  50. Im my view,two important factors that can be highly regarded in shaping young minds,under present sorrow conditions of Pakistan,are Patience nd thankfulness...which we have almost excluded from our lives and need to have em back...

    1-Patience to deal with hardships and trials we are facing today...as God loves His ppl who show patience when they are subjected to any adversity and then He rewards em back for that...

    2-Thankfulness on even little blessings we have that many in the world lack and God himself says in Quran that He will reward more to those who are thankful to Him...

    If a person whether young or old today develops these two qualities in himself then i think definately it would bring many positive changes in his personality and he would deal with the matters in a better way...
