    You want to make a joke out of someone who promotes something good, from which the people of this nation will benefit ?

    How is that a sane thing to do 'expakistani' ?

    @Harris Bhai....

    Bakhuda i am not making joke of Therek e Islami / JI / Munwar hussain sahib....

    My problem is with the approach of jamat-e-islami, The " Dharna politics". Assemblies se bhar rehy ker aap or kia ker saktey ho? just choor... nothing much?

    somebody in Jamat e islami need to think about failures from Pakistan Islamic front to MMA,

    unfortunately you guys dont have Molana modudi, molana islahi or Khuram Ja Murad type scholars any more....

    all you got Munwar Hasan & Liqat baloch type log... ( JI own jealey worker ) be hungam choor kerney waley...

    Yes, we do need to improve on our mistakes. Yes, Maulana Maududi is not present among us (We do have Dr. Israr, who belongs to the era of Maulana Maududi).

    Having said that, we will continue to struggle for betterment INSHALLAH. We will continue to do our part INSHALLAH.

    Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

    In my view, remaining outside Parliament was important. Why ? Because of 'principles', because we need to acknowledge that which is right, and we need to reject that which is wrong.

    At the time, the right thing to do was to not take part in that election.

    Everyone knows how or what Musharraf sb. did with Election Commission for Feb, 2008 elections. We all know how the current situation in Pakistan is progressing as a result of NRO.

    We believe and doing that which is right is MORE important than getting elected.

    P.S. ALLAH ALMIGHTY sent us in this world to test us. ALLAH gave us a situation and the knowledge of what is right and that which is wrong. ALLAH is now watching, nothing how we go about things, what we do in the given situation.

    JI was at the forefront in the movement for restoration of judiciary.

    JI is;

    1) supporting Supreme Court of Pakistan

    on the decisions it has made. Although I'm not fully satisfied, since SC hasn't noticed Musharraf and Pak Army's role in the matter of NRO. Justice MUST! be impartial, across the board, FAST!, non-discriminatory.

    2) busy running a movement to resist the growing foreign intervention within Pakistani politics, within Pakistan's affairs

    If there's more that we can do, please tell me. Highlight our faults. I'll look into their mitigation ASAP.

    Thats very true ... once jamati always jamati... pora ka pora khandan jamati. This is good thing, they have well educated workers from middle/lower class...

    MQM adopted few things from Jamat / Jamiat... for example

    Altaf Bhai, Baber Ghori bhai... " Bhai" thing is from Jamiat.

    Khadmat e khalq foundation is copy cat of Al Khidemat... only thing Al khidmat waley pata nhi kahan khidmat kertey hain... karachi main to kabhi nhi ke

    ... leadership from educated and middle class this is also jamat's trademark.

    My problem started with Jamat when they turned in to political party or i should say ... popular political party...before that Jamat was a Islamic pressure group......
    Qazi Sahib ney zar disco rung de dia ...

    With MQM & (NSF National Student Fed ) i always like JI and ANP... pata nhi kion ajeeb thali ka began hon main....
    may be they are only party in Pakistan with no $$ ke corruption...

    Ab dekho Haris Bhai kesey sharif admi hain... MQM main hotey to double sharaft hoti!!!

    I don't see any constructive criticism from anyone thus far.

    Yes, there is a lot of information that I know of .. and yes! there is a lot I am not aware of.

    Why doesn't everyone highlight our faults, suggest possible solutions for betterment ? Be, as to the point as possible.

    When i put the heading on this topic as "Return of Great Sultan Rahi" actually i was pointing toward Munwar Hussain Sahib's attitude...
    " yeah kero nhi to hum woh kareen gey" etc

    - bhi assemly se bhar rhey ker aap log bas shoor ker saktey ho... next time try kerna assembly main ho... 2-3 seats bhi kabhi fida de jati hain.

    - Jamat Shouldnt try to be a popular political party... 1950s ke Jamat achi thi.... Isamic Party, ab na islamic rhi na political...... bas party hi party lagi hoi hey, kabhi dharn party to kabhi "go amerika go" party.

    @expakistani: Yaar, you may not know this, MMA/Jamaat does have senators, who are playing their part.

    Jamaat does win seats in the parliament, when it comes up for elections. In Musharraf's era, MMA/JI didn't just get votes or seats in NWFP, Baluchistan. We also got seats in Punjab, in Sindh. I believe, MMA/JI also won one of the two seats for Islamabad.

    We are not weak.

    To address point #1, the point we raised is the 'American interference in Pakistani politics' in reference to elections in Feb, 2008 i.e., the NRO deal. I have already mentioned what Musharraf did with Election Commission's rules for elections in Feb, 2008.

    Taking part in that election wouldn't have helped our, or the general public's cause, since the elections were already rigged to give PPP advantage, with reference to NRO. The deal for power transfer from Pak Army to PPP.

    To address point #2, I'm still pondering over this. There are some factors to think over regarding this notion, which should be discussed, but in a separate thread.

    'Go America Go' is not just a slogan, JI has already mentioned, there is a full featured philosophy behind it, which hasn't been discussed yet in public media, but it should! be. That is a must.
