Col Imam seems to be a very reasonable fellow.I hope US pays attention to him and learns something from his experience with the Taliban.

I liked the way he talks about Jinnah Sb and Iqbal Sb, he seems to have lot of respect for them.His comment about syasi mullas was just icing on the cake!

I also liked the recent article about him in Dawn..

@nota: Yes, I did.

One thing I want to mention from this show is, JI chief mentioned, JI calls, it asks of people of Pakistan to come towards 'inqilabi' 'siyasat', yet people of Pakistan are not willing for it.

What's the next best option in this scenario ?

I 'think' (that means I'm not sure) the 'next best choice' is 'not' the 'right' 'choice'. Its not the 'right' 'thing' 'to do'.

If people don't want to come to the right path, that doesn't mean we change ourselves to move with them on the wrong path. It means, we need to stick our ground, we need to stick to the right thing, so we can bring people back to the right path.

Our 'obligation' to people is 'satisfied' when;

(1) we remain on the right path
(2) we call people to the right path

If after that, people don't come back to the right path, then its between them and ALLAH ALMIGHTY.
