There was a time when National Awami Party (NAP) had leaders like Khan Abdul Wali Khan a Pukhtoon,Moulana Bhashani a Bengali, Hakim Ali Zardari a Sindhi, Habib Jalib a Punjabi, Dr. Abdul Hai Baloch, and Hassan Nasir Shaheed a Mohajir !
NAP used to be a nationalist party with representation from all the nationalities of Pakistan !
In 1986 when ANP was formed Wali Khan was elected president and Rasool Bakhsh Palejo was elected its GS, however after some time Palejo left the party and formed his own ultra nationalist Sindhi party Awami Tehreek !
What is interesting to note that ANP has become an ultra nationalist rather ethnic party representing Pukhtoons only !
ANP has locked its horns with Nawaz League over issue of NWFP's name, ANP wants NWFP's name to be changed to Pukhtoonkhwhah but Nawaz League is not ready to accept that !
In Karachi ANP has been blamed for Qasba and Aligarh Colony Massacre in 1986 !

And its local leadership is still busy in hate-mongering against Mohajirs !
There are many VDOs available on Youtube which shows ANP goons busy in gun-fight wiht MQM !
The question is what happpened with communist/socialist nationalist party NAP ? How NAP gave birth to ultra nationalist rather racist parties like Awami Tehreek and ANP ???
