we are still living in colonial rule.

    General doing the same
And now 'azad' adaliya following suit.

  3. Do you remember what happened in Malaysia? It was a wholly corrupt country until Dr Mahatir Mohammad straightened out the judiciary there. And one of the first things he did with the judges was to raise their salaries so that they would not feel tempted to take bribes. Pakistan's law courts are acting on the same principle. Never despair, they will get the job the people have given them done.

    Mirza.

I have to disagree with you here.

    a. Malaysia take-off started becuase Mahatir was focused on Education. he was education minster before prime minister.

    b. 2 lakh plus all the perks is a lot to live comfortably.
However, it wont stop anyone from taking 2 crore bribe. It's a different story for a traffic police who is making Rs 5000 and has no facilites.

  5. Look, I agree, and I hasten to add that Dr Mahatir is and was a great leader. We have seen no person of his stature in Pakistan so far. But about the Malaysian justice system, it's true that when he set out to make it foolproof, he began by raising salaries.

I may be wrong, but let's give the courts a sporting chance. It's the only thing we have in our hands, the only hope in our hearts. Or should we be counting on Pak army to straighten out this country?

  7. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

This is a lie. Judiciary is! useful to this nation. This salary is normal for judges. Remember, a small country like Singapore pays more! to its judges than any other country in ALL of Asia. It has a far better economy than Pakistan, as a result.

Singapore is a one city size country. It is much smaller than Lahore. It doesn't have ALL the natural resources that Pakistan has.

    (1) More than 60 people of Baluchistan, some of them politicians, they were missing, they have been released. Around 1000 still remain to be recovered.

    (2) Judiciary has also! given judgments on cases of NRO, cases in Islamabad in which Mr. Zardari is also envolved.

Its just that the Executive, NAB, state institutions or others, etc etc, are not obeying, they are not carrying out the orders of Supreme Court.

That doesn't mean judiciary is responsible. That means, those who are directed by Supreme Court to do something are not doing it, whoever it is.

Thus!, they are committing blatant, open treason with this nation, its people.

    (3) Govt. (Executive) is not appointing impartial prosecutors for managing cases against those who are accused, that is why criminals are being acquitted

Judiciary is playing its part. The rest of the National machinery is not. It is committing treason with the people of this nation.

  10. Time is of the essence. Give them time. It is through the judiciary and with the backing of the people that change will come.
