MemberI dont even know why the bullet hitting her or not hitting her is an issue!?
lets assume the bullet did not hit her but she rather tried to duck quickly when she heard the shots and hit her head with the lever. so now the bullet is indirectly involved in her death.does it mean the blame does not go on the govt. for not providing enough secuirty?
I dont understand this logic. the govt. failed at its job. why was there a man with a gun in his hand so close to her? why was the second gate of liaqat bagh not being scanned? why was she not surrounded by police cars and police men like musharraf is??
the bullet and the bomb are directly or indirectly involved. even if she died of a heart attack because the sudden blast surprised her the govt. failed (and most probably facilitated) what happened that day.

MemberInterior Ministry Spokesman Mr Cheema says that everything happening on that tragic evening of the 27th of Dec was rushed and panic-stricken, what with people waiting and wailing under a shock. Whatever head and tail could be made out of Bhutto's injury in that short time was conveyed till the formal investigation committee looked into the details and announced what and who caused the injury? On one hand when the immediate member of the family insists he doesn't want an autopsy, his wish has to be respected. One cannot go against it, and there is no time to look into the laws and regulations, when such a big accident has taken place.
He says, whatever people think is the cause of her death, if they are convinced and it is reliable, should believe it. He has no problem with it. Eventually the Investigators (called now from Scotland Yard) will come out with some conclusion, and then everything will become clear.

That woman had such an appetite for self-glory that it was shocking how even on the 18th of October night, she went on and on into the night, having a fun ride.
She wrote before arriving that 3 guys will try taking her life. In that case, why was she giving them a chance? Was she feeling suicidal?

MemberOne more thing for those who are blaming the government. This gathering was on the road outside the parameters of the Liaquat Park. Scanning the passers-by would have meant stopping the ongoing life in Rawalpindi City, which was not possible. There was security arrangement even there but the men on duty could not start searching or pushing away men suddenly in that little time, where she encouraged and again gathered them so fast around her on the main road, against the original program.

Musharraf was going to reinstate the corruption charges (in perhaps another u-turn, him being the world title holder in u-turns). And Zardari was seeing other women. So she thought, let me teach these guys a real lesson---Zardari, but most of all Musharraf. Let me get myself killed and before I do that, I'll write a few letters accusing these people of my murder. This will teach them a lesson. So she went ahead and did all this. Satisfied?
Anybody who calls Cheema a MISTER must be someone with a lot of respect for the army. Seeing that most 'bloody civilians' have no respect left for the army, you must be either a serving or retired army man, or a civilian in their pay.
The thing you can't understand is why, if she felt unsafe as she claimed, didn't she hide like Musharraf in the President's (stolen) House. There is a very very valid reason. Musharraf is not an elected president and does not need the peoples' goodwill to stay in power. He is a criminal, who has abrogated the constitution twice, and is supported by your army and the Americans, to stay in power. Benazir, on the other hand, with all her faults, needed the peoples' goodwill to reach the seat of power. That is the difference between an uninvited dictator who imposes his 'benevolent' self on the people, and a politician. A politician without the people is a fish out of water. Now spare us your lousy 'political' analyses.

With due respect for all the members of the Forum, it could be helpful for the viewers of this forum to understand the cloudy situation 'created' at the sad demise of BB.
1. There is lot of movies, cell phone images, still coming on the board to prove that she was killed by a gunman at very close range.
2. Were they from the Punjab Police, ISI, Commando Squad of Pakistan Army, Al-Qaida, Taliban, Fanatics from the Lal Masjid, Indian Agents?
3. Her Policy about Al-Qaida was not clear yet, and she had done nothing against. (She believed that Osama Bin Laden is dead.)
4. The active supporters of Musharaf, such as 'Chaudris, who boasted to elect him for 10 times in uniform , and people like Sh. Rashid, Sher Afhan, Malik Qasim, could have been the most damaging 'enemies' for Taliban and Al-Qaida.
4. She was not the only who supported Musharaf's action against Lal Masjid. The above-mentioned personalities and whole of the Cabinet supported that 'Action'. Why they were never attacked by Taliban. Al-Qaida and Lal Masjadis, where all of them are living in their neighborhood and could be easily targeted?
5. Punjab Police has so many 'Loyal' and beneficiaries, hired and planted by the Former Chief Minister of the Punjab.
6. ISI and Commando Squad, is directly under the discipline of Establishment, which is all out to finish the 'Bhutto Factor" out of Pakistan Politics, since Z.A Bhutto ordered to compile the Hamood-al-Rahamn Commission Report, about the Role of Army on the creation of Bangla Desh.
7. The very first report of actual and factual cause of her death given by the surgeon at the Civil Hospital was 'buried' and new version was 'manufactured' to make the situation confused and cloudy. (As a normal procedure, in Pakistan)
8. No Judge of the Supreme Court 'dared' to say a single word or took any action, but to keep quiet.
I wish the Scotland Yard Experts could dig out the reality.
