Like cheap thieves, the government henchmen lurked outside the house of a respected television journalist and captured Imran as he arrived. This cowardly abduction comes within weeks of the abduction of Engineer Aftab, member of Hizb ut-Tahrir, from the sanctity of his Multan home, from a household of two small infant daughters and his cancer patient father. His whereabouts remain unknown. And these despicable deeds come after years of abducting, torturing and threatening the shebaab of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Pakistan in which Pakistan's traitor rulers exceeded all limits, arresting women with small infants in their arms, abducting elderly fathers, threatening the employees until they fired the shebaab from their jobs, threatening the guarantors of bail for the shebaab and torturing until the bones of the spine became separated. The recent escalation against Hizb ut-Tahrir comes after the US Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen, visited Pakistan after the nationwide rallies of the Hizb ut-Tahrir in April against the American presence in Pakistan and the attack on Abbotobad by the American forces. These desperate acts only increase the resolve of the believers in their efforts and in their belief in the promise of Allah سبحانه وتعالى Who is the sole Master of His Affairs. I asked him why he had left PTI and the main reasons he gave was "disillusionment". He said Imran Khan is a celebrity of course but the problem is he thinks like a celebrity and not like a politician. I asked him what he meant by that. He gave me the example that once we organized a function/conference for 1600 die-hard PTI supporters from all over to whom Imran was supposed to come give a pep-talk of sorts. The event was organized weeks in advance and was all set but at the last minute Imran got a call to appear on a talk show and he just dumped his workers because he thought being on a talk show was more important and we got left with many angry supporters who swore they would never attend another meeting. He also talked about IK's habit of avoiding meeting people for reasons such as "Meray workout ka time hai!". He claimed even most of the office bearers can not get time from him and quite a few of them have never even met him. He said compare that to MQM: Although they just recently opened an office here, they run the place like a professional organization: they have divided Lahore into six sectors and the sector chiefs meet DAILY and give progress reports, etc. 40 of the local workers have already met Altaf Hussain (MQM arranged for their visas, paid for their tickets and expenses). Sure, he says, they were asked to do "bait" on Altaf's hand that they will "never double cross him or ELSE..." but I am talking organization. PTI hasn't any what so ever and even today things are run by the boot-straps -- there is no planning of any sort. Another thing he mentioned was that no advice is ever followed, hardly any email gets a response. For example, he says, we once came up with an action plan on how to pick areas, chose candidates for those areas at least two years in advance so that they can start meeting people in their constituency, "un kay ghum aur khushi maiN shariq houN", provide help to people when possible, etc. Says he didn't hear a thing till six months later when he met Imran and there too all Imran said was "Yar XYZ, tum naiN mujhay jo plan bhayja tha um per kabhi bat karaiN g@y.." and that was it. (I know this is going to peeve a lot of PTI people but this confirms many of my beliefs about PTI/Imran and why they have had little success and why they are facing the same in the future...) The PTI leaders — Omar Sarfraz Cheema and Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed — also attended the meeting. It was of consensus view that an alliance among political forces was a need of the hour to overcome challenges confronting the country and foil designs of elements causing chaos in the country. Both the parties also agreed on opposing any move to change the blasphemy law and working for Tahaffuz-e-Namoos-e-Risalat. The performance of both provincial and federal governments came under discussion during the meeting. Later, talking to journalists, Ch Shujaat said the meeting discussed all national issues. He said the PML-Q wanted an alliance with the political forces which could block the way of any conspiracy against the country. Imran khan was badly disappointed on his arrival at Karachi after about 2 years when he noted that only a few hundred workers were there to greet him. He had expected a large mob but the situation had not changed. His campaigned for defaming MQM chief failed to give results. It is a fact that MQM has strong roots in public and propaganda of Imran khan was easily foiled by MQM workers and its media team who quickly lashed out and started public awareness against plots of Imran Khan and his filthy character. Counterstrike of MQM was successful. Today Imran Khan stands with only a handful of workers, most of his workers and supporters now avoid to even stand by his side. Due to Chairman's commitment to leave for Pakistan, unfortunately, people were still left with thirst and desire to talk & meet with Imran Khan. The high profile divorced couple stood side by side in front of the prime minister’s office for some time, where a large number of overseas Pakistanis had gathered to protest the arrival of Musharraf in London and his “anti-democratic” steps in Pakistan. Many believe here that this was one of the biggest rallies of overseas Pakistanis in the recent days who had gathered to protest against Musharraf’s policies. The protesters kept on chanting slogans against Musharraf for more than two hours without any break. The intensity of the slogans was so powerful that these could be heard from a long distance. The PPP and PML-N activists were also present there in a large number. The international and Pakistani media was present there to cover this event. But, the most striking attraction in the whole demonstration was the presence of Imran and Jemima. Both Imran and Jamima stood in the front row facing the office of Prime Minister Brown. However, Imran left the venue after staying there for some time. While Jemima stayed back with the demonstrators and kept on shouting slogans against Musharraf’s action against the civil society, democracy, judiciary and lawyers.
